Kudzu Root Extract contains various flavonoid components. The main active ingredients are daidzein, daidzin, puerarin, puerarin-7-xyloside, etc. Puerarin is an extract of Pueraria lobata, also known as pueraria flavone, with the molecular formula C21H20O9 and a molecular weight of 416.37. It appears as white needle-like crystals in methanol-acetic acid. The total isoflavones in Pueraria lobata can increase the blood flow volume of the coronary artery and reduce the myocardial oxygen consumption.
