Magnesium malate is a compound synthesized from malic acid and magnesium, offering various functions and applications. Below are the primary functions of magnesium malate:
Magnesium Supplementation
High bioavailability of magnesium: The magnesium in magnesium malate has high bioavailability, allowing it to be absorbed and utilized by the body more effectively.
Preventing magnesium deficiency: Magnesium is an essential mineral involved in numerous physiological processes. Magnesium malate can help increase magnesium intake and prevent magnesium deficiency.
Promoting Energy Metabolism
Involved in glucose conversion: Magnesium plays a key role in converting blood glucose into energy, helping maintain normal blood sugar levels.
Cellular energy production: Both malic acid and magnesium in magnesium malate contribute to the production and storage of energy at the cellular level, supporting overall energy levels in the body.
Improving Muscle and Nerve Function
Muscle contraction and relaxation: Magnesium is essential for proper muscle contraction and relaxation, and magnesium malate can help muscles function more effectively.
Nerve transmission: Magnesium malate aids in transmitting signals from the brain to other parts of the body, positively impacting the normal functioning of the nervous system.
Promoting Bone Health
Bone mineralization: Magnesium is a major contributor to bone stability, growth, and mineralization, helping prevent bone diseases such as osteoporosis.

According to an exclusive report by Sky News, Coca-Cola is collaborating with investment bank Lazard to evaluate the sale of Costa Coffee, the largest coffee chain in the UK under its ownership. Insiders reveal that Coca-Cola has already held preliminary discussions with a few potential bidders, including private equity firms, and initial offers may be submitted in early autumn. However, the final decision to sell has not been fully confirmed.
UK analysts note that the estimated valuation for this sale may only reach £2 billion (approximately ¥19.2 billion), while Coca-Cola acquired Costa for £3.9 billion (approximately ¥37.6 billion) in 2018. Selling Costa Coffee could result in a loss of nearly £1 billion (approximately ¥15 billion) for Coca-Cola. Yet, this outcome seems to have been foreshadowed.
As early as July, during an earnings call, Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey hinted at the plan to sell Costa, stating, "From the initial investment assumptions, Coca-Cola's investment in Costa Coffee has not met expectations."

The shipping industry handles over 80% of global trade. According to the International Maritime Organization (IMO), shipping emits approximately 1 billion tons of carbon dioxide annually, accounting for about 3% of global CO2 emissions. Additionally, the burning of fossil fuels (primarily heavy oil and diesel) during voyages and port operations produces air pollutants such as nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides.
In April 2025, the IMO approved a global net-zero emissions framework for shipping, requiring phased emission reductions for ships over 5,000 tons to achieve net-zero by 2050. This new regulation, for the first time, combines mandatory emission reduction targets for the shipping industry with greenhouse gas pricing, with implementation starting as early as January 1, 2028. The regulatory system, based on Fuel Greenhouse Gas Intensity (GFI), mandates that those failing to meet emission reduction standards must pay corresponding carbon emission costs, while overachievers will receive rewards. The framework is scheduled for formal adoption at the IMO meeting in October this year. This means ships will gradually transition from high-carbon fossil fuels to net-zero carbon green fuels, and the global shipping industry is facing an unprecedented "major test" in emission reduction.

The supplement market holds an open secret: despite high prices and bold marketing claims, most products contain almost no active ingredients.
Recently, independent laboratory tests on popular Tongkat Ali products revealed staggering variations in the content of eurycomanone, the key active ingredient responsible for boosting testosterone levels and delivering other benefits.
While some products claim to contain "premium Tongkat Ali extract," laboratory analysis shows that many contain less than 0.1 mg of eurycomanone per dose.
Some products, though labeled as "Tongkat Ali," showed undetectable levels of active ingredients. This explains why many consumers believe "Tongkat Ali doesn't work"—the products they purchased lack the truly effective active ingredient (eurycomanone).
